About me

Born a week after Jurassic Park was released.

I wanted to be a movie director. Turns out that involves knowing how to use a camera.

Smart child. Then I discovered I only liked understanding things, not memorising them. So I studied Physics.

I write code now. C at the beginning, Java for too long, Go by choice, Pascal by circumstance.

Ended up as a Research Assistant at the Brain Physics Lab, University of Cambridge. It escalated quickly.

The physics part is still there. Somewhere.

I try to understand the problem before liking the solution.

I separate people from what they say. Not always successfully.

Identity explains more than arguments. Usually.

Most disagreements are about belonging, not truth.

Most problems survive because they are useful to someone.

Understanding is optional. Consequences are not.

Simplicity helps. It also lies.

I say what I think. Then I move on.
